St.Paddy’s Day on Scenic Hwy 30A!

Spring is finally here! Longer days, beaches filled with Spring breakers and the celebration of St.Patrick’s Day!

Start off your St.Paddy’s day celebration with the 5th Annual St.Patrick’s Day Parade & Festival in Blue Mountain Beach. The parade is Friday, March 16th at 3:30 and starts at the Preserve and ends at Gulf Place. Irishfest in Gulf Place begins at 4:30 and is sure to draw a crowd! Enjoy the many great shops, restaurants and even a green beer from The Naked Grape in Gulf Place.

On Saturday, March 17th join us on the green to “celebrate the green” at Cerulean Park in WaterColor for the 7th Annual Art in the Park. From 9am to 5pm you can enjoy artist’s of all genre’s while listening to live music by Dread Clampitt from 3-6pm.

30A’s First Visitor Website, Discover 30A Gets a Fresh New Look!

The first visitor website along Scenic Highway 30A, www.Discover30A.com  has come a long way since it’s first debut years ago. Being the first of it’s kind to offer essentially a “where to” guide for visitors of 30A, Discover 30A helped to pave the way for many of the successful websites in our area. In February of 2012, Discover 30A got a fresh, new look and is now more user friendly than ever.

Helpful tabs at the top of the page labeled EAT, PLAY, STAY, SHOP, MOVE & MAP will quickly guide you to an abundance of information. Along the bottom of the page you will find each of the unique beach communities along Scenic Hwy 30A and upon one click you will be introduced to each beach neighborhood as well as useful information about each area.

Other fun tabs full of visitor information include a visitors guide, bike tour, arts, a community calendar, festival calendar, a beach webcam, and even the weather! Much To Do in March on Scenic Hwy 30-A!

With Spring Break right around the corner the beach communities of Scenic Hwy 30-A prepare for one of our busiest months of the year…March! With a wave of visitors on their way, Scenic Hwy 30-A offers a variety of events!

Festivities begin Saturday morning on March 3rd with the Gulf Place Community Yard Sale. From 8am-2pm you will enjoy shopping the local arts and crafts talent as well as finding hidden treasures from the variety of vendors. Once you have found your treasure you can make your way to the Seaside Farmers Market from 9am-till  to get your pick of fresh produce.

The first weekend in March also kicks off the 30A Wine Festival in Alys Beach! Starting at 10am on March 3rd and 4th you will have the opportunity to meet the wine makers, enjoy a walk about with food and wine pairings while listening to live music. Amazing food is prepared by Cafe 30-A, Caliza Restuarant, Borago and more! Tickets are $300 per person and can be purchased by calling (850) 622-3200 or visit www.30awinefestival.com. Proceeds benefit the Childrens Volunteer Network.

 

One of the biggest and most well known events on Scenic Hwy 30-A takes place onSunday, March 4th. The Seaside Half Marathon and 5k hits the ground running at 7am! Whether you are running, walking or on the sidelines cheering on the competition, this is a annual 30-A event that you don’t want to miss!
